In keeping with its mission to nurture Entrepreneurship in the Greater Pittsburgh Region,
TiE-Pittsburgh has established a Mentoring program for its members. This program is designed
to help the region's budding entrepreneurs gain access to experienced entrepreneurs on an
individual basis to discuss issues affecting their businesses. Several TiE-Pittsburgh Charter
Members have volunteered to help new entrepreneurs address the challenges that they face ranging
from raising capital and acquiring customers to attracting talent.
Since the number of mentoring volunteers are limited, we are inviting interested TiE-Pittsburgh
members to email us the information requested below, so that we can match them to the appropriate
volunteer based on the industry and area of interest. Please be aware that we may not be able to
match all the interested candidates to mentors, but we will do our best to provide some assistance to all.

Business Mentoring Roundtable - The business mentoring roundtable meets monthly and sessions are
scheduled by appointment only. Presenters must submit in advance a written executive summary of the business plan,
and be prepared to make a fifteen-minute presentation on the plan elements.
The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session. Following the discussion, a member of
the group will coordinate the group’s responses and reactions to the presentation and communicate back to
the entrepreneur. Many of TiE-Pittsburgh’s Charter Members are the panelists who assist and mentor the presenters.
